Happiest Place creations

Happiest Place Paper Collection is retiring in August. This is such happy paper. If you have Disney pictures, you have to get this paper.

Christmas Cards retiring product!

 So I'm getting an early start on Christmas Cards this year!!  And you can too if you order these products in August! 

The CTMH Timber Paper just screamed Christmas to me with the great plaid patterns!  And how cute are these gnomes!! 

What you can't see in this picture is the shine from the Stickles on the beards!  And the glitter snowflake cut from a CMTH shape on the Cricut.  

If you would like to make cards like these, just make sure to order some product before it retires at the end of August.  The Timber Paper Packet, Ruby Red Cardstock, and the Gnome Matters Stamp Set and Thin Cuts are the basics used on these cards and will be retiring soon.

Stitched Together Page Layouts

The CTMH featured paper collection this month is "Stitched Together".  For any of you who sew or quilt - this paper is a must have!!

Blue Skies Special May paper Pack

Blue Skies makes some great projects and I didn't want you to miss out just because we can't gather together.  These workshops require extra supplies that you usually come to my house to use (inks, stamps, thin cuts, etc.)  but you can change it up and use what you have on hand.  Or you can purchase the extra supplies.  

These workshops all require you to do your own cutting and stamping and assembling.

April Specials and May Page Class

Getting ready for our May page class!!  I anticipate that this class will have to be hosted virtually on Zoom like we did April's class.  So I would suggest that you order your supplies to come directly to your house. 

We will be doing Seas the Day pages.  And I will be making pages that aren't just for beach pictures.

National Scrapbooking Day - May 2nd!!

I usually host a big crop each year on National Scrapbooking Day, but this year will be different because we are all staying home!! But CTMH has stepped up and is now going to host a big 24 hour virtual event for everyone!!!

The event will be held May 2nd from 1:00 m–1:00 am (EST)  on the Close To My Heart Facebook Page, and will feature creative projects as well as product giveaways throughout the day. Join live or catch up on the video after the event has concluded!

Christmas Card Workshop

Sometimes I feel like I'm skipping over Autumn and Thanksgiving in order to prepare for Christmas....  However, I know that if we make Christmas cards that we need to start creating early.

And so I announce my 2019 Christmas Card Workshop.
I made 5 simple cards and you can take it from there - jazz them up, change the stamps, change the colors, whatever you would like.
The cuts are basic cuts that will allow you to cut and create lots of cards in a short amount of time with just a few supplies.

To create 25 cards, you will need just two packs of paper and card bases:

X254 1/2 pack (25) White Cards & Envelopes

x9009 Mix-in Paper Packet (Nov./Dec. catalog)

                        6 White, 6 Candy Apple Red

And the rest of the design is up to you!!   You can make 25 cards all the same or you can make 5 of each design and change the designs as you go.

I will be having a workshop for these cards on November 16th from 9-1.  The cost is $10 and your purchase of needed supplies.  You are welcome to use my stamp sets and inks.  However, please be mindful that we will all share supplies, so for example if you are going to be making 25 Christmas Tree cards then please bring your own inks and stamp set because you will spend most of your time stamping!! 

You will be supplied with cutting directions and lots of sample cards and whatever assistance you need during the workshop.  And you will go home with your Christmas Cards all finished!  

If you are at a distance, you can order the supplies for the cards you would like to create and I'll make sure you get the cutting instructions emailed to you.  Gather a few friends and make a fun day of it!!

Lisa's Hawthorne Pages

Those that know me definitely know that Fall is my favorite time of year.  I grew up with the beauty of changing leaves and falling temperatures.  So I always seem to put leaves into my fall scrapbooking pages.

 I used the Hawthorne paper pack plus stickers to create these 6 pages and I even had supplies left over so I can make cards and a few more pages.

 Remember view finder discs?  I love this sticker so much that I cut it in half to use it on both pages.  Such a simple design that lets the pictures speak for themselves.

This layout shows my favorite paper - the corrugated cardboard.  It looks so real that you have to touch it to be sure it is flat.  I know this layout is a bit busy without pictures on it, but I wanted to be sure you could see all the different colored photo mats that I used.  Once pictures are added, you will only see a bit of the mats and that will make it less busy.  But who doesn't love fall colors??

Love the truck sticker and the kraft embellishments. 

There are sooo many beautiful stamp sets and thin cuts that complete this paper, so try some of them out!!
